I think of it as an “onward” phase - because it’s not equal or just different from before, but specifically always progress and growth for me that goes back out into the rest of life. Synthesis/integration is great too though
My friend Hannah calls it "re-entry." After she'd hold retreats, she'd always remind everyone that there's going to be a re-entry period as they go home, back to "real life," back to responsibilities. That always helped me so much because it really does take time to synthesize everything you've just experienced!
That's a good one too! I used that phrase during a project that used a space-travel metaphor (like returning to Earth from another planet) and I think it was really effective. It really emphasizes that we've been transported.
I don't know if I have a specific term for it but it's definitely an experience. I've called it the comedown, the aftermath, PCD (post concert depression). I like re-entry, since it's definitely a process.
Yoga instructors use different ways to integrate ourselves collectively into the real world, be it singing ‘OM’ together, reading poetry or my least favorite (although effective), announcements about upcoming classes & events. Talking with people afterwards is also a nice subtle way to transition…we’re ‘reconnecting’ to the real world.

Oooh that's a new one to me. Like a continuation!

Beam me up Scotty!
